This is a very simple question. If you could have only one camera and one lens, ( cost and technology, old or new, reason for shooting, would not be a issue ), ( no fantasy package, that hasn’t been made yet) what combination would chose?
My choice without question is , M8 + Noctilux.
I’m not in anyway trying to make a, my camera is better than your camera, thread. A good portion of the M8 thread has always been about what’s wrong with the M8. I really don’t care about the criticisms. Truth be known, I’ve learned a lot from honest criticism. With that said, I have to say, I seldom see the critics tell us what is their Idea of a great camera and lens.
Finally, you don’t have to be a critic to share your recommendation. Bill

Probably a .85 M6TTL or M7 with Summilux 50mm. Not too exotic.

At the moment I love using M8 + Nokton 35/1.2. It is bulky but the bokeh is so sweet!

I'm quite liking my new Bessa 3a with a shiny new 50/2 Heliar. Very nice balance, perfect frameline for my eyeglasses view, and the images are looking really nice, but haven't made prints yet. And the price was NICE!
Then again, my new Canon G9 is feeling pretty good too!
