howdy from hong kong.
The one bad thing about hong kong is that it is very easy to spend too much money. First I got an iPod touch (which im writing this message from) then got a lot of clothes, and I mean a lot... Then I did something crazy stupid and bought a zeiss 28 2.8 biogon for my leica. Woops.
Oh well I guess that means in a few days time, maybe a week, we will have a write up about the much neglected 28 biogon which in a few short days of using I have come to greatly enjoy!

Colin, nice to hear that you were able to make the trip.
Spending too much money on trips could be a general risk. I know that for myself, too.
Still waiting for my FSU 35mm lens.
Enjoy the 28mm, hope to see some results in the coming weeks.

I just came back from Hong Kong with 50 rolls of film. The last time I was there in March, it was only ten rolls, but just like you I got the 28mm Biogon.

You have one too? I missed wide angle lenses and my GRD made me really appreciate the 28mm focal length, plus my recent difficulties with 35mm, seemed like the only next step for a foolish boy.
A was surprised to find so little in the way of information about this lens but I'm sure it will be a winner!
Good bye moderation.

Watch out Colin! You might set off a large GAS Attack for the Zeiss 28mm lens. I foresee a giant increase in interest on the *bay for used copies of this lens after your in depth report, LOL!
Best Wishes.

I have one also and love it. Despite the MTFs, the lens is very sharp, nice bokeh, flare resistent and at 8R enlargement I cannot complaint much.

Unfortunately I do not have much samples to show as most of them are daily family shots.
Colin, if I can remember correctly I thought u would prefer Leica especially for B&W. Surprise that u got another Zeiss. Let's hope u will like this one.

Hello again people, I have got a few rolls developed from the 28 and got a few more waiting to be done up, right now everything I have is color, I want to get the black and white done up before I post a mini blurb about it. So far initial impressions are very good, the out of focus rendering of this lens is superb and the colors and all that other stuff, genuine zeissness.

howdy, I will do a write up sooner or later. Things are all up in the air now and I have had to put off a lot of projects to deal with a mess of things here, worst part is I won't get paid for any of it. Once I get a little income I will be developing some film then have results to show from it as well. In the mean time, back to the crap.

Avotius, you are living what I would have considered an ideal life when I was your age.
Nice cameras, good health, pretty Chinese girlfriend, living and travel in Asia.
Fix this period in your mind because you may never have a better time.
