Recently, I bought a black Summilux 35/1.4 no. 2221***. It's an early one with an infinity lock. It came with it's shade (hood), the well known 12504, that can be separated in two parts and can be loaded with a filter. Strangely, this hood has no engravings or markings of any kind. I've never seen one like this before.
Does anyone know if it's normal for the early Summilux 35's to have a shade (hood) like this?

Do you know if this is the original hood that came with the lens? I have the 35 lux pre-asph. The hood that came with it has LEITZ WETZLAR GERMANY on one side and 1:1.4./35 1:2/35 12504 on the other side. All the examples of this lens I've come across have the same engravings on the hood.

I am not for 100%, but only for 95% sure it's the same hood with wich the lens came in 1967.
All other 12504's I have seen are engraved. I suspect the first batches of the black anodized 35 lux pre-asph came with a not engraved hood. To be sure of that I would like to know if anyone else knows of the existence of other not engraved 12504's.
