Hi Folks,
I got a CV 35/1.4 SC on Saturday (from The Real Camera Company in Manchester, UK), and shot a few rolls. I've put some results here. The shots are all on APX-100, developed in HC-110 dilution B for 7 minutes at 20C. It was generally too bright to shoot at full aperture (even in Manchester, with ISO 100 film), but I mostly managed between f/2 and f/4 - with one or two indoors at f/1.4.
I'm not one for detailed lens testing, and I never record the exposure of my shots as I take them - I'm only really interested in what real results look like with my favoured films and styles of shooting - so you'll need to take this subjective valuation with that in mind.
It seems a little soft at f/1.4 and f/2, but not that I'd really notice without critical close-up examination, and plenty sharp enough for my real-world photos. Fully open there's a little bit of vignetting (though on the "Manga" shot at f/1.4 the wall was glossy and that actually is genuine light fall-off at the edges), but for a fast lens it's pretty good.
The oofy areas (or "bokeh", or whatever you want to call them) are pleasingly soft, though a bit "swirly" at the very corners at fast apertures.
Contrast seems to be similar to the 50 and 35 Skopars I have, and tonal gradation looks lovely (with the film/developer combination I used anyway).
All in all, I'm very pleased with it.

Some really nice shots.

Maybe its the APX100, but the images look good on my small screen. I wouldn't worry too much about the soft corners at f/1.4 to f/2.

Did you buy it new or secondhand. If you don't mind me asking what's the price at RCC? (including hood if you bought one)

Thank you sooo much for doing this! I am still debating between a Zeiss 35/2 and CV 35/1.7
This helps a lot!

it's just hide and seek
With APX100 being my recently most used film and wanting to buy that lens, too, some day in near future, I thank you for sharing your results.
Some shots are very good. Those old sand-stone buildings give great tonality.
