No serial number?

Not sure what to make of this offering - it looks like a decent M2, but isn't the serial number missing?

Or is this something I just never bumped into before that everyone else knows about? (shrug)

You can buy a camera top as a spare part and it would not have a serial number. Leica or someone else can stamp in the numbers.

Really... well, that makes sense. But I'd rather not bid on something like that. Well, unless it was REALLY cheap.

how is the canon 1.4 to the leica 1.4 ,is the canon good at 1.4

The shutter looks a bit strange. To me it looks like the rubber is coming off in some spots, so there might be light leaks.

I think someone got a good buy. Top replacement decks are very expensive, so if it was damaged and replaced you can bet everything else was fixed.
