Hey all, I'm having a hard time finding a decent bag for my M2, 285 flash, and an extra lens. Any recommendations for a good bag for these?

Actually, I was thinking of F-5XC !
Had an F-5XB too, but found it a bit too small & man-pursy for my own taste.
Plus, the C can also hold my Mamiya 7 and one additional lens.

well yeh if we want to get into MF. The 5xc is too narrow, it wont hold my Bronica RF but ok for a small RF.
My 5xb is in od green so its not as feminine. Plus it hides well under my coat.

One more UD 20 user here. I use it when I need to take 2 M bodies w/2 small lenses mounted, and 2 more lenses mounted back-to-back. Holds easily a dozen films, a meter, cellphone, etc too.
While Billinghams are beautiful, to me they are too much so and simply scream "precious content inside", especially when new 😀

...and another one for the FX5B, its almost perfect for the M
The only little complaint is that the loops on the end run the wrong way and its difficult to attach another small pouch when required

Yes the billingham hadley look expensive, but the "all black" version is really low profile. I tested the black one with natural leather straps, and the black one with black leather straps. The later is stealthy, nobody imagine in my small circle of friends or in the streets what is inside! I like also the fact that it is a soft carry everything bag when the padding is (easily) removed. They are expensive, so if you are tight on budget and need to buy some film or a piece of glass then buy another cheap bag. Better take photos with an inexpensive bag rather that than the contrary. But in my humble experience, I bought two other bags before that one, had some small photo bags that screams obviously to all my friend and some strangers (photo gear or video gear inside!) the hadley has my trust to carry the expensive film gear I use.

Billingham! No contest. It seems that as you try to get a camera bag that doesn't look like a camera bag, it isn't. Billingham is low key and protects the contents unlike the unpadded messenger bags so much in vogue. Mine is sort of a dull olive color and is well laid out. Stealth bags may be a good idea until you whip out the Leica. At that point, you are probably a target anyway. The best theft avoidance is vigilance, and if you are not, then you shouldn't be carrying a Leica in the first place.
