Don't know if they are spoofs, but they wouldn't even raise an eyebrow in Germany (the second ad is in German).

You know, Europe is a big place, with lots and lots of countries & cultures. Some are definitely more conservative than others.

Even in my tiny country, so well known for a lot of 'liberal' things, we have a bible belt. Yup, quite similar to the US really. They are fundamental as the bedrock in some places. No swearing, TV or driving a car on Sundays, girls that wear make-up nor jeans.

They tell us we will surely go to hell, but I guess we just don't want to listen 😀

a better question to ask might be why is sex more acceptable in advertising in Europe, but most European countries have a declining birth rate?

It does seem that the taboos of most cultures simply serve to exacerbate the issue, while a devil-may-care attitude seems to squash enthusiasm for things.
