Hello Ladies and Gentlemen!
I've decided to quit lurking and share some stories about my Nikon RF collection.

To start i'll show a recent acquisition: a newly made lens hood for the f1.1 Nikkor!

They are made by "Old Lens Junkies" from Japan.

Roughly the size of the original. They are made from solid brass and weigh around 200 grams.

These will also allow you to screw in modern 67mm filters. Although i haven't got any yet.

I know this may come across as a shameless advertisement, but i really wanted to share that these are being made new.

Best regards
Christian

I am incredibly pleased that there are other Nikon rangefinder users in Austria.

i printed all of these thank you so much. If you have any interest in designing for the 135mm or the 35mm f2.5 final black version and same for 28mm please let me know as i have and can share dimensions if needed.
It is very commendable that ya print em all
🙂
And yep I'm also interested in designing those three ya mentioned.
I could only design those I have or have access to measurements.

I need:
length of the thread ( I 've seen, not all threads have the same length, some are 4 mm long, some are a little bit shorter, some are . . .)
diameter of the thread
pitch of the thread
Length without thread
largest diameter.
a pix would also help because especially those for wideangles are mostly conical.

Also: I dont have any of these three lenses.
Are you willingly ta make a testprint when I send you the stl files ? 😇
Greetings from snowy 🇦🇹 👋

Hi - its me again.

I browsed Mr. Rotolonis book.
According to his book
the thread diameter for the 28/3,5 is 43 mm
the thread diameter for the 35/2,5 is 43 mm
the thread diameter for the 135/4 is 40,5 mm
aaand the thread diameter for the 135/3,5 is 43 mm.
so far so good.

But I also need the pitch.
According to the holy list of filter threads
the 40,5 will have a 0,5 mm pitch
and the 43 mm will have commonly a 0,75 mm pitch but also can have a 0,5 mm pitch. 😵‍💫
Threads can be a threat.

Anyway:
I can make a few test patterns with which ya can check the thread so that they wont become a threat.
🙂

Right they are 0.5mm pitch and thank you!!

OK, now that we/I have the diameters and the pitches of the threads I just only need the length and the diameters of the hoods and then I can design some prototypes 🙂

Here's the first two:

The 2.8cm f3.5 hood has a diameter of 70mm and a width of about 20.5mm including the threads [ie. all of it]. It's actually two rings. The bottom ring with the threads is 56.85mm diameter and width of 8mm.

The 13.5cm hood is a diameter of 55.5mm and a length of 41mm.

And now found the 3.5cm f2.5 hood which has a diameter of 66mm and a height of 25mmm.

I don't have the other one 135mm f4.

Thank you!

To avoid more littering of "ChristianH.2003"s thread I opend one specific for the remaking of the lenshoods.
So please if anyone have suggestion, pictures or whatever for these lenshood:
