It occurs to me whenever I browse the Gallery Picks thread that there are so many great images each week that I am missing. I put this down to the large number of very talented photographers here at RFF who are contributing to the gallery all the time.
Most people tend to paste their chosen Pick in the reply, which is convenient, but doesn't link back to that photographer's gallery. I think that even more fantastic images are slipping through the cracks due to the sheer number of photos posted.
So with this thread I propose that each participant select one or two photographer's galleries that deserve a more thorough perusal, with an explanation why you chose them.
Sound like fun?
I'll start! I'm going to begin with Martini. I usually don't go for landscapes in a big way, but his work absolutely floors me. Each image seems to create a surreal version of fairly normal scenes. He has developed a very unique style which is immediately identifiable as a "Martini".
His work has seriously changes the way I view landscapes. Here's some work from his gallery:

Wow. I guess I'm playing all alone in this sandbox.
Anyway, here's another member gallery that I feel deserves attention. OurManInTangier is a master street photographer. He gets those shots I dream of getting. Considering the extra hardship U.K. photographers seem to be facing these days I think his work is exceptionally good:

There are so many .... When I feel in need of inspiration, though, I go to the galleries of Tuna and RayPa. Consistently outstanding work albeit very different from each other. I love Tuna's sense of irony and humor; Ray's mastery of shapes and shadows is jaw dropping. Their photographs are also outstanding from a technical standpoint: beautiful to look at.
And then there's Bud Green. I look at his gallery to remind myself how far I have to go....

Good choice. Petronius' work is always very good.I've often said that petronius could make a photographic image of just about anything, and it would be a keeper.
I particularly like the way he can bring a flash of colour out of an otherwise dull scene.
He has a sense of composition and framing second to none.
I could easily choose 4 or 5 of his shots for the "Picks of the week" thread each week.
Petronius' gallery.
...
Another one of RFF's greats, Telenous, doesn't seem to have a gallery here anymore but here's his Flickr site:

An Undesirable
I've only just seen this thread and I'm viewing on my phone so can't link at the moment. Firstly, I'd agree with the choices listed above, Tuna and Bud Green being two long standing RFF members with outstanding galleries. Swann gets a vote from me for his consistently innovative, stylish and beautifully conceived landscapes.
Nico, Telenous, Petronius, Jon Claremont and of course Beniliam (wherever he is now) should also be checked out.
Secondly, many thanks for mentioning my gallery. Though personally I'm not a fan of my own photos...never as good as other peoples!

OurManInTangier: thank you so much for a mention. I only popped in to see what you'd written! My photos are now mostly at ClaremontPhoto due to the bad treatment of photos over time at RFF.
My own favorite photographers at RFF are:
Swann especially for his color photos of industry inserted into the landscape.
Nico for his stark B&W, often no grays.
OurManInTangier for his wit, especially in his 'At Home with the English' series.
Those three photographers stand out for me.
Most of the rest are pleasing, but nothing special.
And a few a truly awful.
A bit like cars, women, and dinners really.
A bit like most stuff in life.

Have to include also: mauro scacco, Todd.Hanz, ZorkiKat, ferider, whitecat, spyderman, Walter Leoparti, Alex Krasotkin, Gottfried Sandow. Sorry Dave couldn't get the links. There are so many fabulous photogs here on RFF it's almost impossible to name then on a thread because there will be many, many who are left off the list and they really deserve to be on.

I´d like to renimate this thread with a gallery that stunned me most the last weeks:
israel alanis´ photos
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&page=1&ppuser=26696
A great eye for color composition and masterhood in using the square format of the Robot. The photos show a strong humanistic look without any voyeurism. I hope to see more!
