just checked in on the sponsor ads and it looks like the new zm 85/4 is ready for sale!!
tony has both the black and silver offered up.

now, if i could only sell the a300 i could order the 85 and my zeiss collection would be complete.

i'm thinking of getting rid of the 25 as the 21 is my new favorite and going with just 3 lenses.

decisions...decisions...

Seems like the ZM 25 doesn't really add anything but extra weight to your shooting style, Joe, whereas the 85 would complement it really well.

But I had the impression you really liked the 25 on your G1. Still, I think once the 20/1.7 comes out, you wouldn't miss that, either.

Can't wait to see photos from the 85/4, even though it's beyond my reach.
 
i do like the 25 on the g1 but i prefer the 21 as it gives me a touch wider fov. the 4.5 hurts indoors but is fine outside. and yes, the 20/1.7 might be the go to lens once it arrives.
 
For that kind of money, I'd go for the Contax G Sonnar 90/2.8. I'd get a black one and have it converted. A stop faster, cheaper, and did I mention it's a Sonnar? :)

i'm too neurotic for that, i want the complete zm c grouping.
and i just sold the a300 so i can now afford it.

keep your eyes peeled for a 25 to hit the classifieds soon.
