Is there a lens you like so much that you have multiple samples of it? (Let's stay in the same lens mount.)
2 catagories: same focal length, and exact same lens model
4x 35/40mm: one fast, one slow with goggles, one slow without goggles, one really slow but vintage in LTM
9x 50mm: maybe just an affectation, but I think they have different signatures
2x 85/90mm: one fast, one slow

Yes.
Many.
I'm down to Five 5cm F1.5 Sonnars in LTM. Was six. Not counting the five I currently rebuilt for a friend.
But I have a lot more 5cm f1.4 Nikkor's in S-Mount.

I have three different 50mm Olympus OM lenses:
50/1.8 (two of these. one was my first lens when I was 11 yrs old, the other belonged to my father)
50/1.4
50/2 Macro
I rarely use any but the 1.4. The macro is an incredible but huge and unwieldy lens, and the 1.8 has horrid Bokeh.
I also have two 28/2.8 and two 135/3.5 OM lenses. Same reason as the 50/1.8 that I have two of: one was mine when I was young, the other was my dad's. He went digital and gave me his OM stuff a few yrs ago.

I have 3 x 35s and 2 x 50s. I'd like another 50, but it will be a while before I get it; other more important priorities are on the stove. I 'might' sell one of my 35s...or perhaps I won't

Nikon 50mm f/1.4. Yes, I know this isn't for a rangefinder. I come across them at a really good price so I bought them. They're all wonderful!
You know what's really BAD.
I have FOUR 5cm F2 collapsible Summicrons, including one with Hot Glass. One has perfect glass, two are close, one I rescued from parts. And I'm still tempted to BIN them.

Had the 25/4 in LTM and S mount. As I've sold off all my Ms I only have the Nikon mount left. Had several 35mm in M/LTM mount, 2, 1.7, 3.5, 2.5 at one time, but lots more bodies to put them on. Down to one body (S3-2000) so they are all in a new and better home.

1) 50/1.4 Summilux (pre-asph)
2) 50/2.8 Elmar-M
3) 50/2.0 Summitar (early 1946 coated)
4) 50/2.0 Summicron
5) 50/3.5 Industar-22

Oh. You mean just the same focal length in the same mount.
I might have thirty 50mm lenses in LTM...

The best camera is one that still works!
50's and 35's are the only lenses I really have multiples of.
In 35mm I have Hexanon f2 ... CV Nocton f1.2 (a must for M8 owners) ... F3.5 Summaron ... J-12 (Contax mount)
In 50mm I have Canon f1.2 ... Hexanon f2... Summicron Collapsable f2 ... Summitar f2 ... Elmar f3.5 Red Scale ... Jupiter 3 (Contax mount)... Nikkor f1.4 (came with my S2 Black Dial and doesn't impress) ... Industar 26 (came with my Fed 2 and flares like a bitch)
Like Chris I have three Olympus OM SLR 50's. f1.8 which I never use because I agree it's a shocker (really is just a lens cap after all) ... f1.2 which was damned expensive for something I use so seldom ... f1.4 which is probably the best of the OM 50mm lenses IMO.
It appears when I look in the cupboard that I don't have a lot of lenses but when I write them down ... it seems excessive!

Back when I used to get calls for coverage in both B&W and color I had two 35mm Summicrons, but not the same vintage, a 90mm Elmar and a 90mm Elmarit, and for dim light an 85mm f/2 Nikkor. I still have the 90 Elmarit and the 85 Nikkor. The 90 Elmar and one of the 35 'crons are gone. Now I have a 40mm Summicron-C, so I guess I still have duplication if you class 35 & 40 together and the same with the 85 & 90.

... likes film again.
If 40 counts as as 35 then I have three 35: 35 Summilux pre-ASPH, 35mm Summaron 1:3.5 LTM (a really tiny lens
) and the 40mm M-Rokkor CLE.
50mm lenses ... Noctilux, 50mm Canon 1:1.4 in LTM, Summitar

Three 50s: Canon 50/1.5, Canon 50/1.8, Elmar 50/3.5 coated.
Two 35s: CV Ultron 35/1.7, Canon 35/2.8. And, if 40 counts as 35, add a 40mm M-Rokkor CLE.
Pretty happy w/ this bunch at present.

Nope.
Multiple copies of lenses (regardless if it's an RF kit or an SLR kit) only makes the kit "bigger" per se.
One of the reasons for carrying an RF kit is that I can carry all the lenses I need in one bag along with the camera and it doesn't weigh me down.
The reason for buying "fast" lenses (21 f2.8, 28 f2, 35 f1.4, 50 f1.4 and 75 f1.4) allows me to stop down if I want to but also have the speed that I desire if needed. No need, imho, for more than one copy of a lens.
Cheers,
Dave

A body for every lens would be ideal. Finding somebody to schlep it for you would be heaven.
