Inspiring Ektar

Inspiring Indeed! I received a delivery today that contained a roll of Ektar that i have now loaded into the M2 and eagerly await the weekend! i bought it to see how it stands up to digital. From what i see here i feel excited to see what my roll will do.

How noticeably different are the results of lowering the ISO?

I've only ever shot Ektar at the rated speed. I like the results so I won't mess with that.

I had to say, Ektar 100 is probably the only reason I shoot color now, tested a roll with GR1s recently, and fall in love with the result.

I've got a few rolls of Ektar (bought after another thread that was inspiring) waiting to be shot, but the damn boston weather is being completely uncooperative.

Some great shots in this thread, BTW.

yeah, but according to a sales rep at a local photo store Kodak killed Ultra Color in 135 in favor of Ektar. Does anyone know if we'll see Ektar in ISO 400?

Why would they kill a 400 iso product for a 100 iso product?
Seems they already had 400NC and 400VC at that slot. I would guess simple trimming of the product line would be a better reason to kill 400UC (which I miss).

what I heard (unverified/rumor) was that there was going to be an Ektar 400. I'm not up on Kodak's film roadmap, so I was hoping someone could confirm or deny.

I like everything about this picture, the colors (and I usually don't) the composition, the boat and the highway.. just great.

martin

Thanks Martin,

I was struck by the location of the thing. Unfortunately, you can't see that it's more than just the highway that makes it interesting. Across to the right is a couple of old plumbing businesses and behind it is the abandoned railway station. I was just making my way through some very run down streets and bam...there's a boat sitting almost under the highway.
