I am loking to get a leica M9. Will i need to code all my lenses? I have and would like to use the following lenses:
12mm f/5.6 Voigtlander
15mm, 18mm and 25mm Zeiss ZM
35mm ASPH summicron
50mm 1.4 summilux and 90mm f 2 summicron
What will coding the lenses do?

The word is out that you can enter the lens data into the M9 for uncoded ones, just like I can on my D200. So no, you should not have to code your lenses.

The M9 list only contains Leica lenses, so you will have to match your non-Leica lens with the closest Leica equivalent. Looks like you might be able to match most in your list, except for that 12mm.
You might want to visit the Leica User Forum and take a look at the M9 sub-forum. It is packed with early adopters and some are struggling with getting results from their CV 15mm which would interest you since you have the ZM 15. Also Leica reads that forum and some of the execs are members there; some M9 features reflect the fact that Leica is listening to their customers.
