Guys, I'm a new Leica M8 user.
Here are some pictures I took with the Voigtlander 50mm f1.1.
These pictures were taken wide open at F1.1 and I had no UV/IR filter on the lens at that time.
Enjoy.

Here are a few more pictures for you guys. By the way, I call this album "Get Together." Feel free to visit my flickr to check out the other portraits I did this past year. Feel free to comment about my photography, because your comments are greatly appreciated. By the way, I started photography about ten months ago. Still have a lot to learn. Well, enough talk, here are the pictures.

you may consider to get a free account on flickr or similar, and then link the images - no limitations then (only the sanity not to link too large images as they blow out the forum webpage).

You seem like a very "color minded" shooter (nice colors by the way). That UV/IR filter makes a difference. It's easier and a lot faster with adjusting the colors in post-production. The images posted flow and have that theatric vibe.

Thank you guys and Im glad you guys like it. As for these photographs, they were straight .DNG file converted to .Jpeg in photoshop with absolutely zero retouching or curve adjustment. I love how the Leica M8 handles raw files really well.
And my B+W UV/iR filter just arrive yesterday, so no more color swapping from black to purple. =D
cheers,
Nico

Hey! I added you as a flickr friend too. Thanks for the kind comments.
I love watching movie, especially the ones from Wong Kar Wai, so he is my big influence when it comes to photography and art. As for bokeh work, I just shoot wide open towards the lights, or the reflections from window, or any shiny surfaces. Out of focus is the key for me. Hope thsi help. CHEERS!

Thank you Papasnap, I added you as a friend on flick too!
Btw, my friend and I will continue to work on this cinematic footage this coming christmas and all the footage will be in hk. So for those who love city and bokeh and color, do not miss out my flickr update in december. This was the movie poster that my friend design for our cinematic photograph Get Together.

Wong Kar Wai - big fan here too except it's the cinematographer that should be called out. I'm sure you him - Chris Doyle. Western guy lived in Taiwan for ages. I once heard him interview in perfect mandarin - I was so impressed. I love his other work too.

Ya, I heard about Christopher Doyle and Wing Shya and all his crew too. However, I'm just really influence by Wong Kar Wai movie, and his sens for art as a movie. Maybe I watched too much of his film.
I remember that whenever I see Chris, he has his beer in his hand. Haha. Real artist.

Hi guys, I just went through my laptop and I have more shots taken with this lens that I want to share with. I do not want to start another new thread, so I will just add on to this one here. Hope is okay with you guys
.
I started photography about ten months ago, and I was orginally a Canon 5DMarkII users. Now, I am starting to like the M8 and rangefinder more and more. Is so small, and I can carry it with me everyday. Moreover, my wife in the pictures are starting to love photography too, so we decided to buy an extra digital camera (M8) to share the experience together. She just love how digital allows her to see the photograph right away.
Hope everyone will love the photos.
cheers,
Nico
