Question about Pentax screw mount...

I have a 50 mm lens attached to a crippled Pentax screw mount camera. The camera is kaput, but the lens is OK AFAIK. Is there an adapter to fit the lens to my Bessa R, or is this merely a pipe dream?

Yeah, you can find one on eBay, but you won't be able to use the rangefinder--you'll have to focus using the distance scale on the lens.

Better to get another screw mount SLR. Will be far cheaper than an adapter, and will give better than scale focus.

I did it using Pentax tubes. I used a Leica to Pentax adapter, and then a Pentax no. 1 extension tube. Here it is on a Leica IIIf. This is a 28mm lens on, but I've used it on a BessaR. And I have to agree with Brian, I only use it with my 28mm or my Zenitar 16mm.

Just buy a cheap spotmatic? They are easy to come by.
