not a very feminine looking camera so maybe more an `ugly bruce'?
at least you passed up on the porcelan wall ducks:D

Lens support included?

... it followed you home right?

does it work? do you like it? do you have 3 strong friends to help you carry it?

Olga seems an ok name ...

let us not laugh too soon it might take superb images ...

as a bonus if you ever get mugged to can hit the bugger with the camera ...

Reading a few reviews on the lens says it is an excellent performer..

The only problem here is I'd end up facing murder charges...

but seriously folks lets see some images before we laugh too hard
:)

That's the beauty of the thing; access to cheap high quality Soviet glass...exactly the sort of camera that I would never pay ebay money for but would make my week if I found it at a fleamarket. My local thrift had it's predecessor (Pentacon 6) for $95 with a massive scratch on the rear element. I took the pass.

It's puzzling to me (and a bit distressing) that it occurs to so many folks here on RFF that hitting potential thieves with their heavy cameras is acceptable. Over the years there have been dozens if not hundreds of comments about hitting people in the head with Leicas, Nikon F's, whatever.... comments that seem to indicate there is some sort of satisfaction in knowing you can crack someone's skull and then go on taking picture with your durable camera. Sigh...

I'm going to order some color and b&w film from freestyle this weekend and give this beast a test run...who knows.....it might just surprise me and prove how good it really is....

Well you don't have to hit them in the head ... any delicate body part will do, the throat is a good spot.
If a thief grabs my camera i will always let him have it ... that gives me both hands free to deal with the little bugger in the proper manner.
I would of course be very concerned if i hit someone with a camera, it might knock the rangefinder out of alignment
:)

For the most part it's figuratively speaking...

I'd never hit someone with my camera (might damage the camera) if they tried to steal it. Instead I'd introduce my shoe/foot to their crotch rather forcefully...

meanwhile back at the ranch ... how much did you pay for this little Soviet darling?

If I had seen it i might have bought it too .... no idea why! as i don't shoot medium format :) suppose i could start.

Enjoy

I picked it up for $10

The funny thing is he had a beat up scratched up 1.3MP Fujifilm digital camera for $95..
