So i got it! Bought it from here and I think I get a pretty sweet deal.
M6 TTL .85 with Luigi case.
First impressions:
I have an M4-P so suddenly this was VERY complicated to me
I shot 2 rolls yesterday and plan on 2 more today. Should have it all souped by tomorrow.
With the M4 I took a reading with a handheld and just shot compensating for changes in light and taking the occassional reading to make sure i was in the ballpark. Most all of it was B+W.
With the M6 and the meter I feel like I MUST set the exposure or the little red lights will get angry with me. The process is very easy but I need to get the mechanics down of which way to turn the apateure ring.
I suddenly found it a bit too easy to just open/close the f stop instead of thinking about what I was tryign to shoot and adjusting the shutter speed as well.
It will be a fun learning curve. Starting out with the non metered M4 was a good decision that I got from this forum. My ability to judge the lght and understand it is much better having used the non metered M.
The focus seems a bit "quicker" than the M4. I dont feel as fast with the focus but I am sure that will come in time.
Overall a great body that i will use mostly for slides and color.

...and that Summicron 90 will fit on that thing like a glove, a heavy glove, but it's a nice match.

Yep! Mount the 90mm and carry the Mamiya 645 AF and between the two I can take on the hells angels! Both are tanks!

I predict that you will soon learn to ignore the lights except when their commands really must be followed.

This is why I usually prefer AE (as in the M7) or no meter at all! I find it kind of hard NOT to think about metering a little too much...

Ride, dive, shoot.
I leave battey in my MP, but don't care about the lights unless I actually want to meter. Most of times, I set dials before looking into VF (or shoot from hip) and shoot so it won't bother me. I think you'll quickly learn how to ignore the lights when you don't need them.
