Fed 2 arrived!

Hi guys, so finally my fed 2 has arrived but i think i'm missing the spool??? There's this metal thing that i can remove from the spool area but it doesn't allow me to slot the film into it? Anybody know how to load the film and can teach me how to do it? I would be greatly appreciate it.
The cosmetic condition of the camera is poor and the viewfinder is hazy... bleah...

can you provide photo of that metal thing so we can show how to put film...

A photo would help. The spool on a Fed-2 is removable by design, so it's not uncommon for them to go missing after 40 or 50 years. You can usually find one on ebay for a reasonable price.

I kinda just wrapped it round the metal bit and slot it between this piece of metal and the magazine(?)
The viewfinder is really dark and i don't think the lens is focussing? Can you even see it focussing? Looking through the VF, everything is blurry.... hmmm.....

Move the lever at the base of the rewind knob to focus the V/F. When that is done, you can focus the lens.

I think you should download and read the manual to which pakeha pointed earlier.

Although yes, i really should look through the manual... keke
Now to shoot a roll of film with it!

Hi, I don't know if this is of interest to you or even where you live but on the UK version of ebay there's a FED 2 manual for sale It's item 390156309416 and offered by Campkins Camera Exchange in Cambridge. You've 5 days to go before the auction ends.

Good little camera - I love mine, but sounds like he should have gone to 'Fedka' 🙂
