anybody run an industar 26m?

I have several, on various cameras. Some say they're prone to flare but I'm careful and haven't noticed it. The newer Industar 61 is a little more contrasty but there's not a lot in it.

I was just looking at one of these or an Industar 61 and saw that it was a 4 element in 3 groups formula. Is it a Tessar clone or a different formula altogether?

yes i use it until now , it took great sharp picture! it has that "tessar/zeiss-popping-your-eye" look

On a Fed 2 ... wide open it's very dreamy. Well mine is ... the front element is scratched to hell! 😀

Leica M2, with a ratty looking old Industar 26M. This lens can be downright painfully sharp if I do my job with it.

Industar 26M is my sharpest FSU 50mm lens. If only it would have indexed aperture ring like the younger brother Industar 61.

I have the 26 and also the Jupiter 8. I prefer the J8 as the 26 is nasty for flare even being careful and using a hood, I've had enough ruined images to make me not use it.
