Hey Guys

after years i finally got myself a russian camera :)

it is not the first rangefinder i own since i had a M6 & M8 which where sold since (big mistake :( ..... )

last week i found a Zorki 4 which had been painted in black by a russian guy.
it is equiped with a Jupiter 3 :)
i had a Sonnar with my M8 and can't wait to find again the unique look of those lenses !

both the camera and the lens are in exceptionnal shape . I already put a roll of of TriX in it , can't wait to see the result :)

i might have some newbie questions soon ....

and why not now ?:)

in the last pic you can see that the body of the lens is not sparkling , do you have any recommandation to clean it or make it more shinny ?

thanks

jerome

2nd that, if all is working as it should then leave it be, hey its an old camera so should have a used look.
Welcome jerome- how about you start another thread - Zorki4, black or silver?

Looks like a nice camera

I have a Yashica with an ugly lens that takes beautiful pictures so don't worry ;) all will be ok

How about some more pictures of the camera ? I like the black way better than the chrome :)

from a dealer or private sale?

The focus mount of the J-3 is an older one, with a new optics module. I use silver polish and an ultrasonic cleaner on mine.

Welcome to the world of FSUs! That's a nice Z-4, Looks good in black and I see you have the engraved speed dial and strap-lugs, meaning early 60s. I have a '62 which is not very good cosmetically but works flawlessly. Enjoy...

That sure is a beauty!

Welcome to the FSU club. I am sorry that I have to inform you, that you'll most likely get addicted in a very short time :D

Happy shooting

I'm afraid konicaman is right, I got my 1st Zorki about two weeks ago and I am now awaiting delivery of my second!:D

Welcome to the club:)
