I have been the owner/user of a GTN (Blk) for some years now, and have had to replace it with an MG-1 when the meter went down. I was entertaining the idea of getting one of the smaller viewfinder models, such as an MF, GX, or CC(CCN), and have watched as they get bid up to very high prices on E-bay. Are these rare, or is there just a collectors rush to get these models before they disappear? Can't seem to find any good sources for used cameras in the Roanoke, VA area.

GX and CC/CCN are pricey (on Ebay) rangefinders, while MF series are scale focus cameras with little slower lens and can be had for lowest initial bid.

I have a black GX and I am loving it's size! Was pretty hard to find a piece too. Used to own a GSN (like your GTN).

I sold my GSN and got the GX cause of the size. Slight difference of 45mm on the GTN and 40mm on the GX is fine by me.

GX is to me the ultimate Yashica RF. The 40mm lens is IMO even a bit better than the very good 45mm found in the GSN-series. More than that the GX lens has the normal 52mm filter size which makes it possible to use not just my Nikkor lens filters but their hoods too.

I like the GX as well, but the CC and CCN also share the same 52mm filter size. The GX has parallax correction and a better range of ISO settings than the CC and CCN cameras, but it is a bit larger and a bit less pocketable.

I have a couple GX cameras, but the Yashica I usually carry is the CCN. I also have a couple of MC cameras in silver and black, but I haven't run any film through them yet, so I can't comment on them.

I got a GSN in the mail today, it's my first full-size Yashica, hopefully it works as well as it looks.
