Hey There -- Does anyone here have the 45mm f/2.8 Leica/Panasonic lens? If so, is it any good, and do you possibly have any photo samples?
I know that they are upwards of about $800-$900 USD, but it's a very intriguing lens to me....

Hi,
I do not own the Lens but Steve Huff recently did a review including some pictures. See here -> http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/2010/05/16/the-panasonic-leica-45-macro-f2-8-lens-for-micro-43-review/

Some guy
A friend of mine bought this lens to use one his EP1 for taking detail shots of things in museums and it works pretty good. Very sharp but a little lacking in character. The lens actually feels really nice and compact with the hood compared to other macro lenses I have used however if I am correct it is not a true macro, rather a 1:2 or something like that.
I used it once on a tripod to "scan" some film with my EP1, did a great job, noticeably sharper than the 14-42 Olympus kit zoom.

Thanks for the link to that review. He seems to like the lens overall, but for its slow AF and of course the price. I'd love to add this lens to my new E-P2 kit, but I'll have to hold off for a while. Thanks again for your help....
