I bought an old Zorki 4 ( just for the lens )
The body wasn't too bad, but the shutter was sticking, and the finder needed a good clean. So I decided to 'have-a-go' !
I stripped it down, cleaned all the gears with lighter fluid, lubricated everything up, cleaned out the finder and it all seems to be working very smoothly. But as it had only cost me a few pounds and I had an hour or so to myself...I did this !!

Not one for the purists, I know, but had fun doing it

Well, it wasn't as though you "defaced" a rare camera so why not! Can't make up my mind if I like it or not but it's certainly distinctive. Unlikely to get you noticed as a "serious" photographer either, that might come in handy.

Black Bogart hat, white pointy shoes and you are good to go:)

`but had fun doing it'

all that matters really,
regards

yes i do mean painting the engraving the same white as the covering. What about a matching strap and some .......... aaaah no strap lugs! ... ok one of those wrist strap things that screws into the tripod mount.
Well done mate !
