Used to have a lot. Sold most of them, yet still have a few:
M/LTM mounts:
1. M-Hexanons 50/1.2 and 50/2
2. LTM Nikkor 50/1.4
3. Industar Coll. 50/3.5
4. Nokton 50/1.5
For Canons - 50/1.4 - one EF one FD.
Thats all. (well not counting similar FL in MF or 47mm or so in Fixed lens cameras).
Took me a long time to narrow it all down, - since I like 50mm FL.

I own 2 (only 3 lenses in total, the other being a 35mm). Last Elmar 2.8 and an F1 Noctilux. Compact and light vs speed. Covers all bases and I enjoy using both. Recently returned from holiday in Lebanon and found myself using Elmar during the day and switching to the Nocti for the evening.

Carl Zeiss Jena 2/50 in Contax mount (spectacular in B/W)
2 Jupiter 8 - " -
Nikkor 1.8/50 AiS
Nikkor 2/50 Ai
Industar fo the Fed
Does the Zeiss 2/45 for the G2 count as a 50? guess not.
The great Ais 55/2.8 Micro Nikkor got stolen together with the wonderfully brassed F3 last week. Still angry
Only 5. Room to get some more

Leica mount (M and screw mount):
50 elmar ltm
Summicron 50 Canada
Summicron DR
Hexanon M 50 F2
Zeiss 50 f2
CV 50 f1.5
Jupiter 8
50 mm normal lenses for all 35 mm cameras in various mounts: >20 probably > 30
Normal lenses for all cameras in all formats from 35 mm "subminiature format" to 7x17 ultra large format: Probably > 50 total.
Obviously I am counting only prime lenses.

.......sometimes i thinks
Haziz: What therapy? Just hang around with like minded ppl and you'll feel normal....like in this forum......
Initially i thought wanting to add another 50mm to my collection (making a total of 3) was not very normal but as you can see clearly from the poll, it is clearly ABnormal to have less than 5 hahaha

shooter of stuff
I have 3, though I may drop back to two.
1. Zeiss Planar (my favorite)
2. 1953-J3 (I love the sonnar design for vintage shots - plus, Brian says it is one of the best copies he's seen.
3. Nikkor 50/2 - Another sonnar. Seems to be built better than the J3, but I may end up selling it eventually. Seems sort of repetitive.

If you ever get a u43 camera, the Nikkor will go down to 18" on it.

Wow! I LOVE this thread!!! Suddenly I feel a lot better about my addiction. I'm an admitted 50mm addict, but I have a lot fewer than many of the people here.
LTM (used with an M adapter)
Jupiter-8 50mm f/2 (I got lucky, this is a nice one)
Nikon
50mm f/1.4 AIS
50mm f/1.8 Series E (the two of us have a lot of history)
50mm f/1.8 AF
Lensbaby Composer
35mm f/2 AF (about 50mm on my D300)
Minolta
55mm f/1.4 Rokkor (not quite 50mm, but close enough, this is one amazing lens, sadly I hate the SRT-101 body)
Hasselblad
80mm f/2.8 C
4x5
nothing this size yet (I'm on either side)
Disturbingly one of the things that convinced me to buy a Leica M6 was the number of different 50mm lenses available. There are several Leica 50's I want, and at least one Voigtlander (I've rented the 50mm f/1.1 and liked it). Having said this, my next Leica lens purchase most likely will not be a 50mm, but rather a 90mm or 135mm. Then I'll start thinking about something like a 50mm f/1.4 Summilux.
As for why, different 50's even on the same camera produce different results.
