Here's the oldest Contax I am ever likely to see, a model 1a from 1932. A helpful and knowledgeable list member tells me that the lens is from the first batch of Contax lenses, made in 1931. The amazing thing is that everything works. Most of the time.
An unusual thing is the flat brass plug that was inserted in the aluminum casting in front of the focus wheel.This may have replaced an earlier domed plug when the camera was sent back to the factory for overhaul.
