My flash shot did not turn out so well. I Synced at 100 and should have Synced at 50. The M3 doesn't have the Sync mark on the Speed dial like the M4 does, so I wasn't thinking to set it. But now I know.

As I found some of the pictures of myself just so slightly unfavourable, I felt the need to counterbalance them a bit by an alternate vision. We do not want to scare potential joiners of our little meetings off, don't we? 😀

Unfortunately, there was no one around who could handle a Flexaret, so it had to be self portraits. It was an interesting experience.

HP5 stand developed in Caffenol, by the way. Reinholds recipe works well.

I really don't like it that no one around me can operate anything but a Point-N-Shoot digital camera. Even the basics of just holding it steady and pressing the button after I make all the settings on it.

This is from Wurzberg, this past afternoon. Just wanted to share it with you guys because it's a small accomplishment for me. By finally realizing the need to set exposure for the subject you want to shoot, I am able to make the guys viewable even when the background will be blown out. It's understanding the smaller and simple details like this that make this more fun every day.
Shot with: Hasselblad 500C/M, 60mm Zeiss Distagon, Ektar 100 @ 1/125 F/4.

Interestingly, quite some people became curious about what I was doing and a few had a look through the viewfinder. There was even another TLR user, a young woman with a YashicaMat. She was quite curious about the Flexaret and could have taken a picture for sure, but by then I was already done with the self-portraits. Some days ago when I was on the street with the TLR, I met another guy, also with a YashicaMat and Tripod and we exchanged a silent greeting. Nice.

It's understanding the smaller and simple details like this that make this more fun every day.
