Does anyone know where I can find the Holy Grail of Summar accessories? I want a 34mm vented hood that I can screw into my Summar. Tired of all the adapters, push ons, etc. I saw one of these once on the classifieds, but forgot to get in touch w/ them and have no idea where they found it.

I have one with the old Kenko brand. It's a packaging of a 34mm to Series VI adapter, and a Series VI vented hood.

I think that's the route I'll end up taking John. Most strange, but I have that same vented Series VI hood, and ended up getting the adapter for it last night on fleabay. The Summar protrudes a bit when extended, and I was hoping to keep the hood setup as short as possible, but it looks like this is the best way to go. Sure wish I had bought that 34mm vented hood when it came up on the classifieds here a while back. Was probably the only time I'll ever see one of those.

If you want the smallest option available, try using a FISON clamp-on shade that's meant for an Elmar. Just a thought....

I use a non-vented 34mm screw in hood on my Summar (e*ay item #120487645335). It works great and it's cheap.
