New York March RFF New York Meet-up?

The Meet-Up is SUNDAY the 27th at 1:00 PM at Puck Fair again.

Probably some of the confusion is due to the Second Annual Leica M-Body Beauty Pagent A.K.A. the February Meet-Up. In this year's event we are featuring a two lens kit with an unlimited amount of accessories. I expect a big gearfest.

We'll be staking out the balconey for additional space and for security.

No, I'm leaving the Nikon F3's equipt with handstrap and motordrives at home, but my Leica with a TA Rapidwinder, TA Rapidgrip and custom handstrap makes it a lot like one of my F3's: part black jack, part brass knuckels, with a bit of a dagger thrown in with the film advance of the Rapidwinder extended.

Since I carry two cameras so often and now own two heavy Fuji's, its kinda good that I put an inch of muscle on my chest, but I'm still a lanky scrawny guy. THe fuji's seem to make me look even slimmer. LOL.

Right now Darrall is a regular who comes from Philly. In the past we had Darren from California, and others from the Tri-state region.

Because we are New York we already have a international flavor.

Just be aware that we kinda get rowdy at times and are rather loud, but most of all we laugh a lot.

I joined RFF meet in Tokyo and it was great fun as well, looking forward this :)

thanks andredossantos and Calzone. realized I've been too optimistic about time and distances. am still in Memphis, and have places like Atlanta and Washington DC to go. no way I can make it in a week to New York, so have to cancel :(

I'm sorry we missed the opportunity to meet Jarsky, but tentitively we have March 19/20 as the date for the March Meet-Up because we have a another guest coming from another part of the world.

More details will follow in the beginning of March

Somehow one thread suddenly became three.

UPDATE: The February Meet-Up, AKA Second Annual Leica M-Body Beauty Pagent, will be at Puck Fair on Sunday February 27th at 1:00PM. If you enter and don't imediately see a bunch of rowdy camera nerds go to the balconey. We'll be upstairs.

I'll be there early before 12:30 for logistics if anyone would like to come early.

Barrett will be judging and be our MC so it is in your best interest to bribe him with food and drink, but I tried to be somewhat fair because Barrett shoots Hexars. In the end, he who controls the mob will be deemed the winner, regardless that Barrett is the judge with the final decision.

I can't make it this month. I will try for March but it might be tough. I could make it March 20 (i.e., on a Sunday).

Have fun at PUCK, have one for me. :)
