New York March RFF New York Meet-up?

Great! then I will show up with a wig and a fake mustache

Wow. Now the March Meet-Up becomes a costumed event. Perhaps I'll wear a funny hat.

You know that artists by definition are exhibitionists.

Also I think that not only will Scott be doing a demo on sensor cleaning, that we wanna mount my Noct-Nikkor on a Nikon D3. Perhaps Tung will bring his Noctlux out to play so we can mount it on Scott's or Jeff's M9. We'd be chimping fast glass.

I'll bring my snobby German 75 Lux for added comparison.

Reminder.

John bring that Nikon D3 so we can chimp my Noct-Nikkor.

Tung could you bring out your Noctilux so we can chimp it on perhaps Scott's or Jeff's M9.

I'll remember to bring my snobby German 75 Lux also.

GEAR ALERT: I'll have one of my Nikon F3's that is all pimped out that weighs about 5 pounds now with a MF-18 Data-Back that prints the date in-between frames.

Tung,

I totally forgot to bring the super light weight white M6 with me back home. If you have it, do you mind to keep it until we meet again. My apologies!

John

John,

No problem, I'll bring it next time. Gonna list it on eBay for half of a million dollars?

Tung

Sorry I couldn't make it, all!

My wife got called into work at the last minute and I had to stay home with my daughter. I thought about stopping by for a bit with her but a three year old, a bunch of cocktails, unsturdy tables, stools, a balcony, and countless thousands in camera gear sounded too much like a recipe for a very bad disaster!

Thanks, Tung! Greatly appreciated. Apparently, I was rushing out of the door.

Andre - The waitress was asking your whereabouts. Not sure what her reaction would be had she seen your daughter. See some pics for the fun you missed this time.

John

A very relaxed meet-up. We'll have to figure out what time works for next weekend's willets trip.

Meetup photos: For some reason, showing photos is disabled in this thread. So instead of clicking on Christian's smiling face, you have to follow a boring text link to my meetup photos on Flickr. Not many there, but a few with some of lenses passed around.

Thumbie: A few folks asked about the thumb grip I had stuck on my M9. As promised, here is the link. (The contact email address, for Steve, is at the bottom of the page.) I paid £25 plus £3 postage. Quite happy with mine. There's a thread buried here on RFF with more details on the Thumbie.

I had a great time. Always nice to see folks.
