I've been dabbling in the world of cheap meters and have a few seleniums on the way. On the off chance I'll need one around the house for low light, I was looking at a reasonably priced Calcu Flash S. I won't be using the flash part of it since the only flash I have is erratic and used just to ck for holes in camera bellows, but is this a good meter for low light? Not dark stuff, just the usual indoor shots.

The Calcu-Flash is nowhere as light sensitive as the Calculight XP - I had two or three that came bundled with Quantum flash kits, and they were the most basic flashmeters I've owned. Sort of ok for uncritical portable flash use with small format, but I did not cry when I lost or misplaced them...

Ah, that's what I couldn't remember. I had a vague memory that another model was really the one for low light. Thanks for the info. There isn't too much on the web on these meters, and even the manuals aren't much help. You need to have the meter in hand it seems to really figure it out.
