Hey.
Actually I am using it and I personally find it very useful.
I developed Tmax, Tri-X, XP2 Super, Ilford delta 100 and 400 according to this application and all looked good and correct.
Hope that helps a little.

b.

I find some of the times a little long by about 10%, in particular Arista Premium in Rodinal.

I use it, and absolutely love it.
Very very useful - I love that I can record my custom-tailored development times for a variety of films & developers, not to mention my custom agitation sked.
Also allows you to change the display from regular, to dimmer red or green screen, too.
One of my favorite apps, hands down. Highly recommended.

Glad I found this thread. I use the Massive Dev chart web site in my iPhone.
Does the app turn to airplane mode and block incoming calls so as to not mess the timer up? Also does it stop the screen turning off?
Currently when using iPhone timer I turn it to flight mode and set screen saver to never.
Thanks,
Steve.

I had it on my Android - free.
Now I got iPhone and I gotta pay arm and a leg for it. Goddamn capitalists!

I use massive dev chart all the time too. I leave the phone on and so far have been lucky but thinking about it switching to airplane mode makes good sense. One day someone is bound to call just in the last last seconds of developing. I usually have the ipod or radio on as well, I think I'd feel a little lost without it now when developing film. Having set the agitation and tank sizes film processing can be just following the squeeks and whistles from the Dev Chart . Wonderful AP

even worse - I bought it for the iPhone some time ago, when it was in an individual developer's account rather than the company, so get this - I can't get updates unless I buy it all over again!

It's a good app, I use it mostly to look at the dev times but I don't find much use for the timer built in to the actual app, I find that timer a bit stressful and use an external one instead. But it's nice to have the dev times handy and not having to consult the computer when developing. I haven't used it in actual dark room work yet, but it's very handy for film processing I find.

Developed my first two films yesterday and used that app as my timer. Used custom times rather than the presets. Well worth the asking price!

You know, having gone the Android route, I have to say this is my one regret... I really like MSD's app for iPhone, (sure the times might be off for certain individuals, but that's no different if you go to the website)
The app versions available for Android are kind of clunky and have limited support it seems. On the iPhone one you can easily adjust your dilution/time etc and the other affected settings adjust right along with them.
I think it's completely worthwhile if you have an iPhone or iPod touch - on Android I reverted to just visiting the site and writing my list down.
Just my two cents.

I use an app called Darkroom Timer on my Android, I find it great. It doesn't give times, it needs them to be put in, but it is nice and versatile and gives me as many steps as I want

I love it! It's one of the reasons I bought an iPod Touch!
Tip of the day, stick your iPod/iPhone in a clear zip-lock bag when developing film so you don't have to worry about getting it wet.

Just this guy, you know?

Not their fault. Those numbers came from the label (this one is tri-x, right?). The standard numbers for rodinal (and R09) are very screwy.
Also, you should never trust standard times.... they are a starting point.

Oh, and this app is fantastic, and totally customizable. Works great.

In case anyone is wondering, the timer doesn't pause if a call comes in. It just continues running in the background. Just remember to end the call quick before it's time to pour out the developer!

$8 to do what a free website & stopwatch does? It would have to agitate the tank for me to make it worth it.
I, er, don't imagine it does.
