Collectors: camera of your year of birth?

I'm of pre M age, born in 1952, and I have a Leica IIIf RD and a 35mm F/3.5 Summaron that are as old as I am.

The M2 is from a batch dated 13 days after I was born = 🙂

I didn't plan that, it's just a happy co-incidence.

To echo ferider, I got it to use, not as a collectible.

1979 was a bit late for most of the cameras I find interesting (rangefinders, TLRs, folders, etc). I'm sure I'm missing something, but the XA is the most interesting so far and... we didn't get along too well. 🙂

Still, My Rolleiflex 2.8D was made in 1955.
1955 is my favorite year. Great vintage stuff was created then.
Guess what ... I was born in 1955! What a coincidence!
