Anyone making knockoff bodycaps for nikon rf's. I've seen a few chrome looking ones that pop up on eBay every now and then but they're a little pricey and are never available when I really want one.

I bought one of the Amadeo caps but unfortunately it doesn't fit right on my S2. The Voigtlander cap works perfectly.

I think someone once said you can make body caps from old plastic film cannisters.
Get an opaque black one, fool with it a bit and see if it works.

They're available through CameraQuest. Go to www.cameraquest.com and then click on the Price List link on the left-hand side. They're $20 each plus shipping.

Indeed, you can. I made a pinhole lens for my S2 out of a film canister cap, it fits in snuggly backwards and it's easy to take out.

But of course.
Film cannister body caps are the perfect accessories for the man who already makes lens caps from the plastic screwcaps of spice and fruit juice bottles.

You can make rear caps for 50/1.4 with film cans. Not sure if that works for camera body cap.

I have an Amedeo body and am very happy with it. Will post a pic when I'm home.
