Went out for what was intended to be a ten minute photo-walk to the park across the street from my home, expecting to get a few photos of people fishing on the river and nothing more. As I was walking down the street, I could see a small fire, so I started walking faster toward it. When I got to it, I realized it was a tandem bicycle that had been set on fire, and the blaze was growing considerably larger. Two young men were eyeing me warily when they saw my camera, so I asked if they knew anything about it, they said no, and then ran off. I shrugged it off, got about 2 feet away from it with my wide angle lens, and started snapping away until the roll was empty. I went back to my house and grabbed another roll of film, and saw a cop on the road so I decided to flag him down and inform him of the burning bike. I followed and got a few good up-close shots of him putting out the fire with an extinguisher. Pretty exciting, to me.
Now I just have to wait until I can order some rodinal to see the film, and wait until September to get back into the darkroom to print the series!!! :bang::bang::bang:
