How many tripods do you own?

3 broken tripods I've been meaning to get fixed...sometime...maybe not.

I have an old green Gitzo Mountaineer with the reversed leg stacking that I am making into an underwater specific tripod, otherwise, it is shot...😉

Yeah, I've gotta change mine too - I just remembered that I have a broken one. Well, it's not broken, just missing the camera attachment - it's a quick release, si it might as well be. A guy at school gave it to me (he bought it along with his Canon 630) and then never used either. It's pretty flimsy, got a plastic crank to raise/lower the column, a handle ... probably the expensive one that wasn't heavy at Ultimate Electronics in 1990.

So I use it as a light stand with a clamp to hold the light. ... 7.

Two "big" tripods; one is a Velbon that I bought after reading either Bob Shell or Roger Hicks recommendation of it a long time back, the other is some Slik tripod that mom found at a garage sale.
I do use the Velbon quite a bit, it is small when folded but sturdy enough for my 35mm cameras.
I don't use the Slik because I don't trust the head--I'm pretty sure it was in the garage sale because it is not secure/stable.
Plus three (or four?) generic table top sized ones.

I'm pretty sure it's three, two crappy ones prior to pulling my head out of my butt and finally a proper(Gitzo 3541LS) one when I started breathing fresh air once again.

Yeah... I just remembered a couple more... Two Gibrans (one deliberately broken by an idiot). I don't even count table-tops. Three or four good ones, maybe (Leitz, UltraPod).

Besides the nine I reported on earlier, yesterday I picked up three more at a junk shop for $2.00 apiece. He came down from three dollars each when I pointed out they were all missing the quick release plates. I plan on changing out the heads anyway.

I don't know really, 4 Gitzo tripods, 1 Manfrotto tripod, one Manfrotto monopod, in the future looking for a Gitzo monopod, and 2 3rd party tripods [one of them seems for a video camera].

Two tripods.. One is a big Manfrotto with a ball head and a couple of metal release plates that I got when I still shot medium format, the other a tiny Vanguard table top tripod that'll hold a Nex with 16mm and nothing more..

I have a medium sized Manfrotto carbon, a Gitzo aluminum, "Canon" table top and a Bogen monopod.

The table top has an integral ball head, one section 8" legs and, thus, is quite stable. Successfully put a Mamiya RB with 65mm lens on it from time to time ...the 180 didn't work so well 🙂
I keep it permanently in the Lowepro back pack.

I keep the Manfrotto in one car, Gitzo in the other all the time. Used to keep them in the closet until it (finally) dawned on me that I often and unexpectedly needed one away from home so it better be there.
When I did need it at home, no prob... it's in the garage with the car.

One decent, moderately, heavy tripod.

One light tripod with a non-replaceable head that's loose. I don't like adjusting the legs on it.

A cheap table tripod in a box with other stuff I don't use much.

An inexpensive, but decent monopod that I improved by adding a small ball head with quick release.

One light weight tripod on its was to take the place of the other tripod.

- Feisol Tournament that replaced Benro carbon. The Feisol is light, strong and holds everything up to lightweight 4x5".
- small Manfrotto Aluminium table top (rock solid, love it) - great with TLRs
- compact aluminium many-section-leg, pretty much useless one (I do not even remember the name). I need to get rid of this one.

One- a Gitzo Traveller which I hardly ever use. I hate the extra complication. I have a Manfrotto monopod too which gets used even less. The Leica table yripod is basically all one needs.

Just the one, a Manfrotto 190 that just about fits in a checkable bag. All in all though, not used much, and usually only when I absolutely need one, at night for the most part. Would probably use one a lot more if I did more night shooting, and wasn't so lazy about getting out, but to be honest shooting only 35mm, I find using a tripod a royal pain. One day I may get one of the Manfrotto Neotec tripods with the push release legs, but that will really depend on me actually using it enough to justify it.

A small 4-leg travel friendly carbon fibre one probably wouldn't go astray, but it wouldn't be anywhere near the top of my list.
