Just acquired a fine specimen that is the Mamiya 6 and 75mm lens. I will probably end up getting the 50mm eventually in the future. What bag are you using to carry your Mamiya 6 and 2 lenses?

Thanks in advance :)

For me it all fits perfectly in an domke j-803 or a f-803 wit all three lenses a day supply of film and my wallet.
Cheers,
Michiel

Simon! I just checked out your photo site about "My street." Amazing sir, kinda just fell in love with the computer screen a bit.

Sorry to interrupt the thread for non-related work, but this is amazing stuff.

No need to apologize....the images are fantastic and definitely worth mentioning! :)

I've bookmarked his site...thanks to you :)

Thanks, Michael. Looks like a great bag and a good size. I just received my F-5XB, and even though the Mamiya w/ 75mm attached fits perfectly with room for one more lens, the bag itself reminds me of a purse. I need something a little bigger.

I use the Domke F-5XC. It's like a taller version of the F-5XB. The Mamiya 6 with a lens mounted fits in the top and I put more lenses or film in the bottom part.

I found changing lenses on the Mamiya 6 a real pain so I got a dedicated body for the 50mm. I enjoyed the speed and flexibility of shooting with two lenses on two bodies. When collapsed both bodies/lenses fit perfectly in a Billingham Alice.

I looked over that bag a few times and it looks REALLY nice, but unfortunately, too expensive for my budget. I'd rather not spend more than $120-$150 at most. Thanks, though.

I got mine new for less than 150€ here in germany, iirc. although, at the current rate, yes, that's a bit pricey in USD.

I find choosing a bag a very personal matter. But do consider the Domke F4 bag. It comes with nice inserts and paddings. I keep my Mamiya 6 with one lens attached and 2 other lens in it.

I have the previous generation Crumpler "Four Million Dollar Home" and the entire Mamiya 6 system fits perfectly in it: body, all 3 lenses, hoods and spare film. I highly recommend the bag, it is pretty compact with solid sides and it is very well made. I keep the spare lenses in cloth bags too keep them from getting banged up.

The same Crumpler was too small for my Canon 50D, it barely fit in with a spare 50mm lens...

I have Mamiya 6 with all 3 lenses. To carry the camera on 1 day trips I after long search decided to get a slightly modified bag from Courierware. It is very light messenger type bag with just little padding on the bottom.

I do keep the lenses in thin neoprene pouches when on the move though. Only thing I would like to see improved is tiny bit of soft material sewed in the internal pockets. But maybe I am just too paranoid. Many out there just put the lenses inside the pockets directly.

I wrote a detailed review back then, so have a look if you like: HERE

I have also used on occasion a the Stunner model from Crumpler. It will take Mamiya 6 with 50 and 75 lenses + a few films in the front pocket, but not much more. You get a small package that can withstand pretty much everything.

I use a Lowepro 200AW. It fits the 6 with the 50mm/75mm combo perfectly with room to spare. This bag has been through hell and back (tunnels, abandoned subway lines, tower cranes, hiking in the mountains, abandoned blast furnaces...) with no problems or tears. On a usual day I'm wearing it for 5-6 hours on my bike or walking the streets and it never feels too heavy. The bag also has the benefit of the rain cover for those days you want to go shooting in inclement weather or get stuck in a storm.

Also, I have a 50mm f/4 that needs to go if you're interested.

I have the 6, 75mm and the 50mm, which is bigger, especially with the hood.
The kit fits easily in my ThinkTank 10, with room for more, and in my slightly smaller Crumpler 5mil, but as its a compact MF, it'll fit in smaller bags.
