great photos back alley. I'm probably quite biased, but I always like your R-D1 photos more. (although i did own the x100 for some time. Nothing wrong with the camera.)

I tend to like your images taken with the RD-1. I can't tell you why, but I seem to enjoy them more.

I didn't realise Canada was in as bad a shape as the US. I guess it's global. Good photos!

Yes, I think I like the RD-1 images more than the X100 images. I went back to your blog and I can't say there is anything wrong with the images from the X100.
That is one of the frustrating aspects of photography for me - I percieve a difference between the images the two cameras produce, but I cannot articulate to you what the differences are. That makes me question if the difference is real or imaginary; I think it is real.
Anyway, I like the shots that you posted.

Very nice images, Joe. No matter what camera you used.
Looks cooler in Edmonton than Dallas.

I agree with you, it's real, that even I can tell a difference. Much may have to do that the X100 is still quite new to Joe. that said, the RD-1 is quite a special camera in it's self.

i think there is a difference also and i cannot articulate a difference, if i were to try i think that intellectually the x100 should have the edge.
it could be that i have trained myself to always use 2 of the same camera when shooting.
i am currently in talks with a member here to trade my x100 for another rd1...it seems the best thing for me to do.

BTW, got to handle an RD-1 yesterday at the car show. I was quite impressed and now understand why Joe likes these cameras!

Not so new now.
I like your photos, Joe. I don't care about the camera.

A great series, Joe ! This one I like best because her uneasy look and what is written on the card-board she holds fits very well.
