It's like new. I didn't even know the two red dots on the rewind spindle were red 😀
It's had a full service, new M6-style light seals which were badly needed (the old advice to change lenses in subdued lighting really applied to this one) and the VF prisms split, cleaned, resilvered and recemented because the balsam was beginning to fail around the edges. You honestly can't tell it's been done because the VF and RF images are just as they should be.
Best of all, it no longer sounds and feels dry and the shutter thunks rather than clangs. The weirdest thing that's been fixed is the irritating tendency for the film to jump the sprockets when winding to the first frame - I have no idea what caused this, but I pointed it out and it seems fine now.
There is enough film in the freezer to keep it going for 5 years at least. Hopefully film will outlast me; you never really own a Leica, you just look after it for a while.
