Brian did a great job with my J-3. I bought a mint '85 from fedka but wasn't convinced it was reaching it's fullest potential. I have been very pleased with the results after his service. It is one of my cheapest lenses and one of the best.

I got my J3 back from Brian just before heading out on vacation, a 1962 ZOMZ. I'm absolutely thrilled with it.
This one of the first photos I took with it and scanned:

I'll probably get a few more up here in the near future.

absolutely beautiful guys!
I've been thinking about trying a 50mm (I'm a 35mm shooter) and this looks like it could be a not to expensive way to experience it!

Wide open, hand held at 1/8th of a second or so. Slightly cropped.
Its a little subtle but I like it:

Brian, you have a lot to answer for
I have Tom77's J3, adjusted for up close and wide open. Must use it more often, after reading this thread. great stuff.

My 63 Chrome J-3 after Brian instructed me on what I needed to do to fix for a front focus problem. Bessa R, Neopan 400 shot around f2.8. I've shot this lens wide open without any issues.

Have you noticed that Brian is absent from RFF?
What a loss to RFF.

You are right. I had not noticed but your post made me check and the last post I could find was four days ago. i hope nothing is wrong.

My latest addition - a 9 x 12 Ernemann Klapp - taken with a 51 year old J3 - shot wide open:
btw have three of these older J3´s in aluminium mount, and am still looking for a black one, so welcome for a trade

That's depressing. Brian was always one of my favorite people here. Any word on why?
