10.000 units is quite a large number as well. I would go for the X-Pro1 and cant understand why anyone would buy this for a 500$ premium over the chrome one. Or why anyone would buy this over the X-Pro1.
For Fuji to offer this camera in black in a limited run for an extra few hundred dollars sucks IMO. It's black paint for ****'s sake and should have been offered as an option from the get go at no extra premium.
This really is catering to western consumer stupidity ... and in reality is just a price gouge aimed at those who want some self obsessed level of exclusivity in their latest toy!
yeah, leica would never charge , say, $2000 to upgrade from a $10000 m9 to whatever an m9-p is, or how much to go from an m8 to m8+ whatever the heck the costly upgrade is called, right? and no one ever takes a cam and re-markets it as an 'anniversary' edition in slightly different outerwear but exactly same innerwear? yeah, i never heard of that happening.
I wasn't suggesting that Fuji is unique here ... I'm just a little diisappointed that they're following this shallow trend.
And don't start me on Leica ... they are the worst offenders IMO! 😀
or why anyone would buy an m8 with those silly uv filters, or an m9 for $7000, or a huge bulky dslr like the new d4, or point & shoots, or or or....
guess that what makes the world go 'round.🙂
btw, anyone know how much more a black g2 set goes for than the titanium set?
