California (Bay Area, Northern) Davis CA Beer 'n Gear

I continue to look for a home for a great mint condition Nikon SLR kit: chrome FM body, 28mm f3.5 AiS lens, 35mmf2.8 AiS lens, and 75-150 Series E zoom. All neatly packed in a Billingham carry all. Anybody???
 
The Burger's and Brew place sounds great Bob. Last I heard, Robert, Kent, two Ladies of the Trains, and one sheep, will be on the train that arrives at 10:30 or so. Then will head towards the hairy, unwashed, and way too happy (Farmer's Market).
 
By the way.... do we buy train tickets in advance or snag them at the station? I know both can be done, which do you guys prefer?
 
Seeing as I'm unemployed and I have free time, I think I can actually make this one. My birthday is February 6th! It'll be like a two-fer. Especially if Kent and Mike show up.
 
I plan to board Train 724 in Emeryville at 9:05, which is scheduled to arrive in Davis at 10:27. Assuming Mr. Chaps hasn't increased his percentage again and pissed off the 'talent', I plan to spend the trip in coach becoming reacquainted with my 4-legged friend Daisy. What Mike, Kent and the others do is their business.

I do have a couple of questions, though:

1) Is Davis a Tri-X or Portra town?
2) For those of us penicillin-intolerant, can ampicillin be scored?

Glad you can make it soon-to-be Birthday Boy, should be fun! I'll let you use Mike's Millenium so that when the backwards focusing pisses you off it's his that you throw!
 
Robert...I'm sorry to have to break this to you but I saw Daisy the other day and Mike was under her (him??) in some kind of harness. It was more than I could stand to watch and I was heartbroken that your sweet Daisy was being unfaithful to you. Hearing her "hee-haw" for all that time just made me sick, sick I tell you. Mike's maniacal evil smile is still burned into my brain.

I had the same color/bw question, hopefully some of our hillbilly Central Valley friends will be able to guide us City Slickers.

Kent - can you describe the harness?

Kevin - It's $25 each way. However, I'll pick up your tab just to watch you chuck Mike's Millenium Nikkor out the window.
 
Kent, you designed, built, and tested the harnass, so of couse you know what it looks like.

And wasn't it during your testing phase, that you became acquianted with the Small Animal Care Unit? Or was that just a scouting mission?

And Kevin, out of respect for Kent's 'guest', no mylar Satyr suit this time. Sheep no like da Satyr suit.

Glad you're making it Donald. If I had full photoshop on my iPad the image would have been far more like what you expected.

My wife just read the last page here and is having second thoughts about letting me out of the house come Saturday :confused:Will there be harness racing:rolleyes: Too much action may cause me to bring digital only.I don't think I can afford all the film it will take to capture your doings in savage Davis:rolleyes:
 
Meetup Time in Emeryville?

I propose the Bay Area contingent meet up at the Emeryville Train Station at about 8:30? The train leaves at 9:05 so this will give us time to snag tickets, load the donkeys on board and prepare for the adventure.

Thoughts? Anyone pre-booking their tickets? If so what return time are you thinking about?

Don't worry about return trips,nobody ever returns from Davis:eek:
