California (Bay Area, Northern) San Francisco Beer & Gear

We've had a few fun shoots up there and will again I'm sure!

Bingley has mentioned this to me as I haven't connected yet with any one here in Sacramento. So lets figure out some time in mid October or early November:)

P.S. The S.F. Art Walk and 3$ parking sounds like you are all in for a great Sunday:D

Breaking out some expired Maco Cube 400 for the day tomorrow. Hasn't been refrigerated, should be interesting!

Great to see everyone and some new faces as well! Terrific turnout an quite the variety of gear on that long table!

Indeed it was very nice seeing every one :)

Perhaps next time we can move the tables so we can go around so its easier to meet and mingle.

Here is an iPhone shot from downstairs edited on the same pocket computer on the way home in Bart:

Was great to see and catch up with everyone. And yes, an amazing variety of gear on the table to ogle and fondle. The dim sum lunch was great, the weather cooperated and provided nice soft light, and I don't think we lost anyone while wandering through Chinatown and North Beach. A fun afternoon and I'm looking forward to the next gathering.

An excellent time was had by all. Thanks again to our incomparable leader Kent for organizing, and to Reese and Darren for steering us to a great dim sum lunch. It was also good to say hi again to Steve, Jamie, Randy, Donald, Mike and Warren, and to meet Kevin and Vijay. Many others that I didn't get a chance to talk to, but that's why there'll be a next time. Feasted my eyes on an abundance of cameras, shot a couple of rolls of b&w film in North Beach, a rich locale for street snapping. Steve, keep practicing with that Canon bottom-loader and you'll get the loading process down to under ten minutes -- trimming the leader really works. :)

Peter.

Great to meet you Vijay and thanks for bringing that VC 40mm, very nice lens! See you at the next get together.

Kent

Thank you for welcoming a newbie to the meetup! I had a great time and look forward to seeing you all again.

Vijay

Kent, thanks for organizing. It was a great turnout, and it was great to catch up with everyone. Because of limited time, Dan and I decided to go for our photo walk in North Beach right after we left Vesuvio, so we did not have a chance to personally say our 'goodbyes' to everyone. I'm sure we'll see you all again soon. The variety of gear on the table was truly amazing :) --Warren

I had a total blast! Lunch was deeeeeelish as well. Thank you Reese & Darren! I'm surprised no one was arrested.... Not after that incident last time, at least.

Kevin, I have to tell you that you are a bad influence. A Ricoh GXR and A12 M mount are now on their way to me...

Hi, I'm writing here because I'm in search of LOCAL repair. My M6 need rangefinder adjustment, as I know it is very simple and quick operation, do not want to sent it for 3-4 weeks. Can somebody recommend local repair shop where they can do it

Keeble & Shuchat in Palo Alto will likely be able to adjust your M6's rangefinder in their onsite repair facility.

So many new toys make their way into our hands after a Beer and Gear meet. We should rename them the RFF Bay Area financial stimulus meet up group.

ICT Camera is located in Mountain View. The guy who runs the shop is a Leica certified technician.
