cars, cars, cars

Hey Vince!
The Checker is neat! What a great car.
Had to be, to last for years as a NYC taxi.
What is the truck that is pulling the trailer?
Looks like a very old Ford...
Thanks and keep us posted on the resto.

Will do! Mine is a 'civilian' model (an A12, versus the A11's, which were taxicabs), and believe it or not, a 1980. Hopefully it should be done in a few weeks.

I'm not really sure what that truck is -- I think it's a conglomeration of a COE, a sleeper cab, and who knows what else!

The cab of that truck towing the neat Checker looks like a custom in itself, and the cab may be the same as this Ford. But this one is simply the restored cab grafted onto an Isuzu truck chassis!

Yup, the cab of that truck towing my car is the same as that Ford above -- I can find out all the details from the fellow who owns it on Monday!

Vince--very nice!
Thanks for keeping us posted.
What engine does your Checker have? I think I read somewhere they used GM engines, and I could be very wrong...
