Bought the Limited Edition and love it. Bit of a pig on batteries, but owning an M9 I'm used to toting three batteries around for a day of solid shooting. So far, I've experienced none of the issues discussed about the X100. AF is accurate and fast enough for my style of street shooting, the ability to adjust the size of the AF area is a bonus, the macro capability is much better than what I can achieve on any M lens, and I can actually use this camera in a church it is just so damn quiet. In fact, anywhere that uber discretion is required, the X100 has it all over the M. As someone who has owned a pair of M7's and M9's and a slew of M lenses, I must admit I am having more fun with the X100 than I ever have with an M. A sacrilege to state it I know, I love the Leica's, but Fuji has done a really really good job for their first kick at the can on this concept. The IQ is much much better than I would have expected for the price point. I traded in an Oly EP-2 which helped offset the cost of the LE X100....but to be honest, I would have coughed up the dough anyway for the ability to have a black finish and all the extra bits of kit included in a nicely packaged and finished product.
