CLA from Gus Lazzari - price increase?

I have quoted my M2 which has inaccuracy shutter speed at lower speed for CLA.

He answered that "the complete teardown, clean, lubricate and adjusting (C L A) to a Leica M2 camera starts at $350. Lens C L A's starts at $120. "

I was told many time that his CLA service starts at $250. Did he increase the cost for his service recently??

Anyone has CLA for M body recently by Gus?

If all that is wrong with your M2 is the lower shutter speeds why not live with the M2. Personally, I never go below 1/30 and don't care about the accuracy below that.

As far as I know he's been at $350 for a while. He did a CLA on an M4 for me last Oct and that was the price. I don't know anyone that does better work.

Youxin will fix the shutter speeds for half that amount.

I cannot speak to the price increase but I just got a Leica M3 that's had a CLA by him and, with this accolade, now feel great that he did the work, as I'd not heard of him.

You do not need a CLA to fix the shutter.

I've seen his posts on Photo.net. He looks meticulous and very knowledgeable. I paid AUD$350 to a wonderful expert here in Melbourne five years ago. I never knew what the M2 should really feel like until then. It gave me the confidence to trust it up in the snow and it is my best condition M camera and I don't begrudge having it adjusted and lubricated to its current perfect state.
