Here's another June-July event I chanced upon that might serve as another meeting opportunity: Photoville 2012 at the Brooklyn Bridge Park.
Looks kind of cool.

So wait, you guys are seriously entering the parade and paying a fee? Ok, count me out of this meet-up. I'll just go photograph instead.
Except I'll only have an X100 and a Leica M, no fiddler crab arm for me!
I'm also gonna be in and around the city from tomorrow afternoon till the 10th of June.

Cal, I'll be joining you early on that day.
I can meet on Tuesdays for sure. I'll be down at WTC on Wednesday doing some spec. reporting on the 10th anniversary of the WTC cleanup. I'm also available Friday. This time I'll bring the goodies that I said I would last time (120 Plus-X and a 1.25x magnifier.)
I look forward to meeting Chubby Butt!

Yeah, I guess Cal's "light weight gear period" is officially over, lol.
UPDATE: John was correct in that within a week I would buy/get a big/massive Pentax after handling one at the last Meet-Up.
My new "Monster" camera is a Pentax 67II. I'll likely only bring one camera to the Mermaid Parade because basically I'm not strong enough to carry two. This puppy weighs about a pound more than my Nikon F3P rigged with a motor-drive and Noct-Nikkor. All of the sunned those big Fuji's that have interchangable lenses seem small like a Barnack. By next week I'll have the P67II all pimped out when I get the shipment from KEH.

I might have a big trade happening tomorrow Saturday. All my small cameras might be gone depending if this deal goes through. Didn't even have time to run any film through those two Barnacks I brought to the Meet-Up. LOL.
Anyways it looks like my small cameras will be my Leicas that are all pimped out that John calls "Monsters."
Anyways the Pentax 67II makes me look skinnier.

Cal, you know how all the women at the Mermaid Parade love your big cameras. ;-) Remember last year?
