For all of you who enjoy guessing what lens left a particular signature give this one a go. Seems to have plenty of character so give it a try. I'll reveal all in a day or so. Sorry about the light sabre coming out of this fellows head just wasn't seeing too clearly.

VC 35mm f/..... 1.7? (I don't know the differences between the 1.4 which I have and the 1.7, so I'm going on a feeling with the 1.7 guess.) On TMY-2? or TMX.... that's what I think. Or Delta equivalents.

If that's wrong I'd go Nikon 35/1.8. Third place, Canon 35/1.5

That OOF area bottom right looks supiciously like a CV 35mm f1.4.

Really? I wonder why the OOF bits look like the Nokton then ...

I don't own a 35 0r 40 Nokton but I was under the impression that these two lenses were designed to give a somewhat similar rendering to that of the 35 Summilux. If you take a moment to google the lens diagrams for the 40 Nokton & 35 pre asph Summilux you'll find the basic design is the same.

This shot looks very Canon 35/1.8ish but with 35/2 canon contrast. I thought I had seen the last of the 'footballs' after I sold my canon but they sometimes appear in shots from my 35 'lux too. I expect you have experienced the same and that's why you posted this shot as it would throw people off? Footballs in a leica lens? OMG:eek:

A day late and a dollar short to this discussion but I would have thought it was a pre asph 35 lux. The photo's rendering is similar to what I got with my 35 lux. I was always under the impression that the CVs had similar rendering to the 35 lux given the similar optical layout.
