Higgs Boson information from Wired's site

How do they know it's Higgs' boson anyway? it could be anybody's ... did they eventually find it down the back of Peter's sofa? which is where they should have looked in the first place ... I'd have said

How to take best shots of Higgs Boson with a rangefinder? Which camera-lens combo works best? ;-)

A Higgs-Bboson walks into a liturgical church.

Priest hurries over and says, "I'm very, very sorry, but we don't allow Higgs-Bosons in here."

HB: "But, without me, you can't have mass!"

why should anybody want to detect a higgs boson, when you can detect a neutron just for a fraction of the money! a neutron is just as good as any other fundamental particle!
these cern people just detect luxury goods for posers.

Last I heard, a Neutron was made up of three quarks, so it isn't a "fundamental particle"...

This is pretty cool, I haven't read the Wired article, but I've seen rumblings around the web about finding the final piece to the Standard Model.

;)

my jokes aren't too scientific (and most of the time not even funny)...

How about "two iphones walk into a bar"... (Don't get this one myself)

or

An infinite number of mathematicians walk i nto a bar. the first one asks for a drink, the second for half a drink, the third wants a quarter of a drink, as so on. The bartender puts two drinks on the bar as says "I hope you guys know your limits".

Bozons found finally, heh? ... the question now whether the Morions, Idions and Imbeccillions will be found..

By far a more entertaining and better explanation of Higgs Cartier Boson can be found here:
https://vimeo.com/41038445

(it really gets good around 0:37 as the first of many cameras is featured)

This really is a very good explanation and very entertaining. I enjoyed also the Lexx video Glenn gave the link to. I wouldn't have minded hearing, or rather, seeing one or two more of that young woman's questions.
