I took my new Bessa R with an Industar-61 out for a spin with Neopan 1600 in Pennsylvania over Thanksgiving. Here are a few shots that I liked, let me know what you think.

The middle photo with the fence in the foreground would have been better with the post more towards the extreme right of the picture. Otherwise, it juts up into the background subject. The fence rails themselves are not a problem, just that post.
The other two shots are just fine, especially the one of Beau.

Thanks a lot for the critique, I appreciate it. That post definitely should be in a different (out of the way) place.

I really like the tones, very nice. I wonder if there might be a little too much sharpening going on.

Also, the fence post doesn't bother me -- just another opinion

Looks very much like Chester County PA, where I am. We have those stone walls everywhere and my house was built from them.

Thank you. I've been curious about my film sharpening. I do basically the same sharpening/resize for film and digital (mainly because I haven't found the right balance with film) and I may be slightly heavy handed (I think my scanner is doing some sharpening while I have my RAW settings to not apply sharpening).

You hit the nail on the head with that one. I really love walking around and taking pictures there, beautiful area. My dad rebuilt the stone wall in front of their house when they moved into their home. They really add a nice feel to the area.

I don't know if you are doing this when sharpening images but its best done in preview at 50 or 100% the image size. In-between these preview sizes the sharpening can be under represented and hence images can look over sharpened when saved.
Just my 2 cents.
Top one is my fave but I'd have concentrated on the three trees framing the rock and got down lower and closer. Nice to see others surroundings.
