Is it safe to use a Jupiter 12 (35/2.8) on a Canon 7 camera? Will the large rear element damage the camera?
Thanks in advance.

It's a tight fit, but the older black ones will work.

Thanks,
I have a nice black Jupiter 12. I'll try to mount it very carefully.

Its a tight fit in a Canon 7s. The black paint on the outer rim of the rear element scruffs the internals of the camera curtain box and the black paint on the lens can peel off.

Tried it--it works fine. My black Jupiter 3 from the 80s is a tight fit, but it works. Doesn't seen to touch anything. I have a Canon 7, not the later 7s.
